For over 55 years, Sal Panico has provided engineering, program and construction management services for complex mechanical projects, including power plants, cogeneration facilities, sewage treatment plants, hospitals and health related facilities as well as commercial and educational projects.
Mr. Panico, licensed as a Professional Engineer in numerous states, is experienced in all project phases from conceptual design through construction documents, including commissioning and project start-up.
He worked on the design and construction of a vast number of facilities, including health care, institutional, commercial, residential building projects as well as power generating and industrial plant projects serving as design eningeer through principal in charge.
Mr. Panico provides technical competencies in all facets of engineering management and assists clients with through out the project’s life. This would include value engineering and design required in today’s competitive markets to ensure the completion of quality projects, on-time and within budget.
AS a partner in CME, Sal Panico’s responsibilities include overseeing the MEP design and engineering of all projects. He is experienced in preparing construction contract documents and construction administration. He is knowledgeable in all design and construction mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler systems in residential, healthcare, institutional and commercial buildings.
He is experienced in all project phases from conceptual design through detail design thru construction and project start-up, commissioning, and forensic system assessments.
Mr. Panico has worked on the design and construction of vast number of projects, which included high rise office buildings, institutional, commercial, senior living and residential facilities, and in health care, where he has designed and oversaw construction of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Sprinkler systems.
Mr. Panico has also instructed and authored numerous papers in the engineering field. Mr. Panico has worked on various institutional and commercial building projects, fossil fuel power plants and industrial plant projects. His experience includes construction management of major system and equipment replacements and complex projects such as Cardiac O.R. Suites at New York Methodist Hospital.
Upon graduation, Panico was associated with Syska & Hennesy as a mechanical engineer where he was involved in the design and construction of High Temperature Hot Water Systems, Underground Distribution Systems (Steam, Chilled and Hot Water Piping) and Central Utility Plants for such clients as the Polaroid Corporation, Harvard University and Bellevue Hospital. Mr. Panico also served as Lead Mechanical Engineer with Pope, Evans & Robbins, Inc., in New York. In addition to his institutional and industrial engineering duties he served as Lead Field Engineer during shake-down, start-up and operation of a steam generator demonstration plant in Rivesville, West Virginia.
At Burns & Roe, Mr. Panico worked as a Senior Mechanical Project Manager serving as technical advisor in the evaluation & design for a 600 MWe Atmospheric Fluidize Bed Combustion (AFBCO) Power Plant as well as many other projects.”
